Welcome to the Wylfa Newydd consultation website

Listening to people's views

Before we submit any planning or Development Consent Order applications for Wylfa Newydd, we will make sure we consult with local communities, local authorities and a range of statutory and non-statutory bodies to listen to, understand and, where possible, incorporate their views.
As well as the Power Station itself, we need a number of off-site facilities and associated developments to support the construction and operation of Wylfa Newydd.

We will be holding a third stage of pre-application consultation on our updated plans for Wylfa Newydd between Wednesday 24 May and Thursday 22 June 2017.

You can view a poster showing a list of our consultation events by clicking here.

You can also read more about our previous consultations, that are now closed, by clicking on the menu above.

Why is consultation important?

Consulting with local communities helps us to shape and refine our plans, and is an important part of the planning process. The Planning Act 2008 requires us to consult widely with the community, and organisations such as Isle of Anglesey County Council, before we submit our application for a Development Consent Order in 2017.

We have set out our commitment to consult local communities in a Statement of Community Consultation.

We held the first stage of our pre-application consultation in 2014 and since then we’ve held a number of other consultations to keep people up-to-date.

Stage Two consultation

Between 31 August and 25 October 2016 we delivered our second stage of pre application consultation for the Wylfa Newydd Project. We shared our latest plans and documents, and asked for people's views on all aspects of the Project.
